I work in a studio in a small village in the south-west corner of Suffolk, near the familiar landscape of South Cambridgeshire where I grew up; where I create block prints and designs inspired by the countryside of East Anglia.

My prints of animals, birds, gardens and landscapes are hand printed using traditional techniques, inspired by Japanese and Chinese printmakers and the English tradition of the illustrative print. I make a limited number of each print (10 to 50) and because of subtle variations in the process each print is unique.

I studied design and illustration at Brighton College of Art and Design and started my career in publishing as a designer and art buyer for a major UK publisher. I have been working as a freelance illustrator and designer since 1991; supplying clear, informative, digital artwork for major publishing projects. I now combine traditional printmaking techniques with digital artwork to create artwork for designers and publishers of printed and digital media, packaging, brand identities, etc. Since April 2015 I have been a regular contributor to Gardens Illustrated Magazine, illustrating Frank Ronan's monthly column with a linocut. In June 2015 I redesigned the Telegraph Newspaper crest for the 160th anniversary new-look of the daily newspaper.
Please get in touch if you wish to discuss a project.
